After 20 years of writing for theater and working in both the public and private sectors, I’m now helping others with their personal and business writing needs, while also teaching workshops and developing my own writing projects. I’m married to the playwright and theater artist Liam Cole, and we live with our rescued AmStaf/SharPei, Ben Kenobi.
You’re sitting at your computer staring at a blank page. Behind that page is you. Behind that page is your business. Behind that page is your story. Behind that page is your dream. I can help you express yourself creatively and with clarity.
Director / Producer
I spent several seasons touring the Midwest with Illusion Theater (Mpls), and the Northwest with Working Relations (Seattle) in plays that confront discriminatory and power issues in professional and personal environments. I understand the complexity of these issues, and am committed to an inclusive life philosophy and work environment.
Writing & Editing
My roots in the arts run deep. Raised by a mother who hand-built and hand-burnished primitive pottery that she fired in our backyard, I spent my formative years drawing, painting, acting, and playing the cello. As an adult, I became an Equity actress, playwright and director. My husband and I spent years producing new plays by living playwrights both in Seattle and in Everett. While in Seattle I developed an annual festival of performances written or directed by women called the Mae West Fest. The MWF also included professionally curated film, art exhibitions, dance and readings of new poetry and prose.
